WeatherSources keeps it simple:

  • *Users who donate through PayPal may have their name and email made available to us which will ONLY be used to contact you in case of an error or to notify reoccurring monthly donors if WeatherSources will cease to operate. We will not store this information, but please see PayPal's privacy policy for how they handle information here. Our access is protected by password. We do NOT sell, share or use this information otherwise unless required by law. PayPal does NOT share your credit card information with us.

  • To improve site performance & content (such as add additional features, links & world weather regions) we use Google Analytics (traffic) monitoring to determine:

  1. Number of site visitors (is site working, growing and servers handle expected traffic load?)

  2. If repeat or first time guest (does site engage users enough to return or not?)

  3. Entrance page (What page captured a users interest enough to click and visit us?)

  4. Browser & O.S. combination (to determine site compatibility and mobile vs desktop user percentage to guide format of site)

  5. Referrer (how do site visitors find us? Ads, google, social media, etc?)

  6. General geo-location (to determine general areas/regions of the world that are interested in our site, thus allowing us to focus on & expand weather related links that may be of use to those general regions of the globe. Your address is never revealed to us).

  • Our Analytics traffic monitoring records non-identifiable anonymized IP addresses & may use cookies to fulfill our traffic analytics.

  • These stats (traffic) are password protected for added security.

  • Analytics may still collect other information that we do not use.

  • Our web host may have additional Privacy Policies here.

  • Links to other websites may have their own Privacy Policy.

  • We cannot control websites, nor the content of others but will try to regularly test links to ensure they are all family friendly.
